Summary
Professor Luo Zhongwei stated that after his team’s site visit to DTCT last October, all members agreed that the enterprise has built a solid foundation over the past five years and is highly suitable as a model for experience summarization and extraction. Service-oriented manufacturing represents integration of manufacturing and services within broader industrial convergence. Centered on manufacturing as its foundation, DTCT leverages technological empowerment and improves its ecosystem to bring in more market and service elements, better serving the segmented market of modular data centers.
Xiao Bilong explained that from the early stage of product R&D, DTCT has been committed to developing products tailored to user scenarios and solving pain points in customers’ data center construction. While serving clients in the financial sector, the team found that computer room construction at bank branches generally suffers from long construction cycles of 50–60 days, yet branch outlets require rapid commissioning. In addition, traditional computer rooms feature low space utilization; some branches still use civilian air conditioners which cannot be renovated. Other challenges include shortage of professional maintenance staff, low integration and limited monitoring capability. To address these industry pain points, DTCT developed its first-generation modular data center products in 2017, which have undergone seven rounds of iterations to date. The solution integrates scattered hardware and software systems of traditional computer rooms into an enclosed cabinet. One all-in-one unit serves as a micro data center, realizing productized computer room engineering, modular products, intelligent O&M and low-carbon energy saving. Targeting demands of various industries, DTCT delivers customized industry solutions and standardized products. Up to now, DTCT has provided services for national financial institutions including Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Bank of Communications, and accumulated rich experience in new construction and renovation of computer rooms across 17 industries such as education, transportation and power.
This year, DTCT was selected as a Key Cultivation Enterprise for Manufacturing Single Champion. Upholding its customer-oriented mission, DTCT keeps integrating 'service' into 'manufacturing'. The 'service' refers to the DTCT Intelligent Cloud O&M & Supervision Platform. This platform integrates asset management, environmental monitoring, IT monitoring, dashboards, alarm center, remote web terminal, automatic network topology discovery, automated operation & maintenance, intelligent O&M brain, data visualization, 3D visualization and other functions, enabling real-time alerts and remote O&M.
Going forward, DTCT will further integrate cloud O&M with modular data centers to achieve intelligent operation. Targeting low carbon and low PUE for modular data centers, DTCT maintains stable aisle temperature and prevents local hotspots to realize overall dynamic thermal balance.DTCT will continuously strengthen its core capability of 'Service + Manufacturing', cooperate with upstream and downstream partners to build the modular data center ecosystem, and help domestic manufacturers realize integration transformation between manufacturing and service industries.
